A MOTHER-of-two was caught driving with her five-year-old daughter in the car when she was more than twice over the drink drive limit.
Jenny Clark, from Thirsk, who pleaded guilty at Northallerton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
The 30-year-old was pulled over by police at around 7.15pm on November 12, 2017, on Carlton Road, Carlton Miniott.
Alison Whiteley, prosecuting, said she was “uncooperative and abusive” to officers.
Clark was taken to Harrogate Police Station where she was found to have 183 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood – more than twice the legal limit of 80.
Nick Woodhouse, mitigating, said she was a single parent and losing her licence would make it hard to commute to work and transport her children.
He added: “She bitterly regrets what she did. There are considerable difficulties in her life and she is working hard to address her alcohol issues.”
Clark, who was sobbing throughout the hearing, was ordered to pay £572 in fines and costs.
