The driver, who is in his early 20s, was pulled over by Sgt Chris Harris at Wymondham after he was spotted driving “erratically”.
He said the man was traveling at 30mph, despite the speed limit being 70mph.
Sgt Harris, from Norfolk Police, said although a breath test and drug wipe both came back negative, the driver failed an impairment test and was arrested.
A subsequent blood test revealed he had 180 micro grammes of ketamine in his system, per litre of blood. The limit is 20 microgrammes per litre.
Ketamine is a powerful general anesthetic which can cause loss of feeling in the body.
Sgt Harris said he stopped the driver at around 10.30am on September 30. But he only received the drug test results on Saturday.
The driver will now be summoned to court.
